FOUNDER + CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

SOPHIE MACEY

Sophie Macey is the Founder and CEO of Bayou City Interpreting. Sophie began working in the field over 16 years ago after earning her degree in Interpreting from LoneStar College, along with her BEI- Advanced certification in ASL/English Interpreting. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), Texas Society for the Deaf (TSID), and frequently participates in conferences and workshops to stay at the forefront of industry advancements. She also sits on the Interpreter Training Advisory Board.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

ADRIENNE BASKINS

Adrienne is the Chief Operating Officer of Bayou City Interpreting. She has served the Greater Houston area for two decades as an interpreter. Adrienne now oversees the day-to-day operations at BCI, including professional development planning, customer relations, and building community partnerships. Her wide-ranging experience, understanding and knowledge of the interpreting community allow her to guide our interpreters to assured success.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

ADAM MACEY

Adam Macey is the Chief Financial Officer of Bayou City Interpreting. Adam has more than 15 years of experience in financial management and leadership. Adam oversees all financial operations at BCI, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and strategic planning. His extensive knowledge and strategic insight have helped BCI sustain its growth and establish itself as the Greater Houston area’s premier educational interpreting agency.

INTERPRETER ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

TERRY ULRICH

Terry Ulrich serves as the Interpreter Engagement Coordinator at Bayou City Interpreting. Prior to joining Bayou City Interpreting, she coordinated interpreting services for various school districts. Terry oversees the recruitment of interpreters and our interpreter incentive program.

SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

LINDSEY HERRERA

With over 10 years of scheduling experience, Lindsey has worked in both the interpreting field and within government agencies. Her career has been shaped by a deep commitment to the Deaf community, which she’s had the privilege of serving for 15 years. Through her work, she’s developed a strong understanding of the needs and dynamics of this community, ensuring effective communication and support in various professional settings.
